The opening ceremony of the I International festival of Muslim cinema « Gold minbar » will take place in "Organic" movie theatre of Kazan today. Within a week Kazan will see about 30 game, documentary and animated films of Russia film studioes and the abroad, devoted to islam theme. The Russian cinema will be submitted at the festival by works of cinematographers from Kazan , Ufa and also Moscow at the festival. The summarizing and rewarding of festival winners will take place on a stage of Tatar academic theatre named after G.Kamal on September 10.

The jury headed by known script writer Rustam Ibragimbekov , will define of "Gold" , "Silver" and "Bronze" minbars in « Game cinema », « Documentary cinema » and « Animation film » nominations. Besides, the nominations « For the best man's role », « For the best female role » and « The best director » are founded . There are he famous film critics , actors and directors from Egypt, Syria,Iran,Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan in structure of the judiciary board. The Moscow film critic Kirill Razlogov, Tatarstan writer Tufan Minnulin and the representative of Bashkortostan, the director Rais Ibragimov are also the judge members.

Except for the basic prizes, the special awards - RT President prize, RF Council of muftis prize, and also the prize « For the contribution to business of an Islamic appeal » from one of the founders of "Gold minbar » telecompany «Islamic World » are founded. The owner of spectator sympathies prize will be determined by the results of interrogation - questionnaire. The journalist, who will deal with work of the "Gold Minbar" best of all will receive the encouragement from the festival sponsor.

The organizer of the film festival is RT Ministry of culture. RF Council of muftis and telecompany "Islamic world are the founders of " the Gold minbar ». The chairman of RF Council of muftis Ravil Gainutdin is the president of festival.
