«Delegation headed by St.Petersburg Governor V.Matvienko arrives August 23 for opening of Petersburgskaya street in Kazan»
150 artists and 12 St.Petersburg city administration officials headed by Governor V.Matvienko arrive tomorrow for the opening ceremony of Peterburgskaya street.
 
The spirit of the city will be transferred by its famous fence grills, street lights and benches sitting along the pedestrian street. All the works performed, including the bust for Leo Gumilev (famous Russian scientist) is a gift from St.Petesburg authorities to Kazan on its Jubilee occasion. This information was stated by “Lenconcert” Director, Vladimir Popov and Head of Kazan city Culture Department, Edward Ivanov during the press-conference.
 
Many famous artists come to participate in the event. It is worth mentioning that some of them have cancelled their contracts to be here on August 23.
